One of my favorite quotes is by the philosopher Eric Hoffer. He once said that "in times of profound change, the learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists." I try to keep this quote in mind as I work to build a rewarding career in the communications industry. Hoffer's words remind me to continuously strive to be open-minded and always welcome learning in both my professional and personal life. Looking back in 30 years, I want to say I was one of the learners that Hoffer talks about — helping brands tell their stories in authentic and intentional ways for an audience with ever-changing ideas and opinions.
Growing up in the Magic City and now living in the Windy City, I've carried my passion for the communications industry for as long as I can remember, serving as a yearbook editor-in-chief as far back as middle school. As a recent college graduate, I've been able to hone my skills through various internships and coursework and have a well-rounded background in public relations, marketing, and journalism. I produce some of my best work on tight deadlines and understand the importance of being adaptable and providing individualized attention for not only clients, but the co-workers, friends, and family I surround myself with.
Some of my passions and interests include health and non-profit communications, branding, experiential marketing, design, typography, investigative journalism, DE&I, mental health advocacy, rejecting the status quo, Chelsea boots, plants, tiramisu, and herbal tea.
